Casting |
In
waxing (production of wax replicas from the rubber mould),
semi-automated Japanese wax injection machines are used which
can be finely adjusted for accurate temperature and pressure
settings for each injection. As the waxing staff have been
trained to keep a record of temperature and pressure measurement
for each new design, we can replicate the same measurements
for each waxing, thus reducing shrinkage problems and so attain
a particular weight point if required by the customer. |

Each
and every wax item is checked for high quality prior to cast.
Prepared wax trees are kept in a closed box which prevents
the contact of dust with the wax trees until investing.
Investing:
The investment process is carried out with strict timing according
to industrial standards. Separate mixers are used for platinum
and gold investments. Air bubbles in investment mixture are
removed by a vacuum vibrator machine prior to investing the
wax trees in order to obtain high quality castings. |
|
De-waxing
is accomplished prior to oven burn out and this ensures smooth
surfaces with less or no porosity |
|
Casting:
Two different types of Japanese machines are currently being
used for the casting process. A centrifugal casting machine
is used for platinum casting while a gravitational casting
machine is used for gold castings. Highly skilled labour used
in casting ensures the quality of casting while maintaining
minimum cast and metal waste during the process. Cast items
are checked for quality using qualitative methods as well
as quantitative methods such as assaying, to maintain international
standards.
We carefully inspect all jewelry at this point to ensure both
ASKR Jewelry and International Quality Standards are met,
to guarantee quality assurance. |
