The final
touching up and polishing of jewelry items are important to
ensure that the surface is defect-free and smooth, in order
to reflect incident light uniformly.
Polishing will take place in regions of the piece that can be
accessed by the polishing medium. Therefore we ensure we use
media to support the type, shape and design of the jewelry piece.
This is special attention we pay with the help of microscopes.
Rhodium plating for white gold & platinum items : this is
performed to enhance shine and durability of white gold &
platinum items in order to resist scratches and tarnishing,
and give a reflective appearance. Rhodium is usually plated
to only a 0.3-0.5 µm thickness from a sulphate bath for
maximum effect.
We carefully inspect all jewelry at this point to ensure both
ASKR Jewelry and International Quality Standards are met, to
guarantee quality assurance. |
